Zeeshan Ayyub is currently basking in the success of his recently released show Scoop. Zeeshan plays the role of an honest crime journalist Imran Siddiqui in the series directed by Hansal Mehta. After the success of the show, the actor shared that he has been getting ‘many calls’ but he himself has never called the filmmakers.
When asked if he has called up Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions or Yash Raj Films to ask for the role, Zeeshan said, he hasn’t done so yet. In an interview with Siddharth Kanan, he shared, “I don’t do that, but I feel I have the freedom to call because people know me by name, and especially after the scoop, I am getting a lot of calls.” Are.” Zeeshan said he can make the call he wants, but added, “I wonder whether I should do it or not.”
In the same interview, Zeeshan said that he told Hansal Mehta and Zoya Akhtar that he wanted to work with them. But this conversation took place in person, not over-call. He said, “When I meet people in person, I express that I want to work with them, but I’ve never called to ask, but I feel I should.” How his wife Rasika, sitting next to him, shook her head as soon as he said this.
Rasika said, “I respect that people offer her work after watching her performance. I am proud of it. So I would not like it if he has to go and call them,” she said.
Zeeshan is earning accolades for his performance. Talking to PTI about his role, he shared, “Hansal told me just one thing: You have to make him human. Someone who talks about truth and honesty and doesn’t seem boring… Making him human was the biggest task. Hansal said, ‘It should look like a human being and feel like someone you know. Only then we will be able to say what he is saying and this will be a big reason for the success of the show.
